B2401 pricing (Central Florida)

New here but have been looking/reading the forums for the last 6 months and I am finally a few months away from purchasing a tractor.
I am looking at buying a B2401 with a FEL & bucket for now. I noticed not many people have the B2401 but if anyone could let me know what they paid for there’s that would be very helpful. Also if anyone could recommend a good dealer around north Tampa to Ocala Florida that would also be very helpful.

I take it you prefer a geared tractor? To be honest - I never "heard" of this brand new model. Stuck between the 2301 and the 2601, both being HST models.
Curious - why this choice?

About a $3k difference in price compared to a B2601 on the Kubota website is the main reason. The gear drive does not bother me as I have owned manual transmissions most my life. For the price of the B2601 I would rather jump up to the L2501dt and if Kubota did not offer a B2401 I would be looking at the L2501dt.

gotcha - ever used a HST version? I too have shifted enough gears to go to the moon!! In car/trucks and tractors. But for the tractor usage - I would not go back to a gear - now, if I was cutting grass or plowing I can see the simplicity of the gears - but if moving anything with the FEL - the HST will actually reduce your time by 1/3.

Then again - 3k can buy more tools to do what you need to do.

I do not think many have "looked" into this machine since it is only one year in the making.

The closest I have come to using an HST would be a forklift and if I were going to use this tractor for a business I would definitely go HST. $3k also buys a EA grapple.

Stay away from Gulf Coast Equipment in Land O Lakes and Plant City. They quoted me a price for a L2501 HST with a trade in of my old Massey. So I loaded up the Massey and drove to the dealer. When I got there the manager refused to honor the deal. It was never about the trade in as the gentlemen never walked out to look at the trade. He wanted another $3000. I told him to kiss my a$$ as I will not play that game.

I would look at Futches in Hastings FL and I bought mine from Gatorland in Gainesville.

And if you do buy it from out of town PM me as I run a hotshot truck and can haul it for you,

One thing to think about is the gear drive models do not have a live pto, can be a pain depending on what you are running on the PTO.

I paid $11500 for the tractor. That includes assembly, marketing and shipping fee and tax. Otherwise $10130 pre fee. That's cash with equine discount.

You can. But the price may change. I did cash for the tractor and financed the loader, bucket, cutting edge and box blade. Those were $4569 all in with 2.5% financing through kubota implement financing.

You should test drive a l2501 hst before you buy the manual trans...especially for loader work.. ive had alot of gear shift tractors and useing a clutch while digging, or useing pallet forks to load a truck etc is so much nicer with the hst..

As also mentioned if your useing the rear pto, when you push in the clutch for whatever reason it disengages the pto..

The clutch version is great for mowing wide open fields tho.. but I don't see any other benefits, one clutch replacement will about eat up that price savings when new, and resale value will be much less

I do a lot of loader work on the 2401. It took getting used to but not a big deal like everyone says it is. I'm still happy with my purchase and glad I didn't go with the hst. I've used both, and the hst whine is annoying.

I don't recall the breakdown but last year I paid $16,800 for my B2401 with 435 loader, bucket and LP1254 box blade. My dealer included bio-ballast in the rear tires and delivery 40 miles away. I paid cash so there was a discount over 0% financing.

I finally found a B2401 with a loader and it should be delivered next week.
Most dealers did not have any B tractors and the loader are on back order. I did look at the L2501 and it was going to cost over $24k after taxes with a loader and box blade. All the dealers that gave me quotes were within several hundred dollars of each other.

I would much rather go with the 1254 or 1260 so I can cover the width of the tractor and get close to structures when grading without the tractor hitting the building. From everything I have read on this forum nobody really uses the 48” box blade.

I have the BB1254 and it works fine. The B2401 has plenty of grunt. Weight is more of a limitation where you will get wheel spin on a hard pull. I don't think the BB1260 would be a problem but I prefer the BB to be closer to the width of the tractor. My straw rake is 60" and I occasionally rub the trees with it.

The quotes I got were for the L2501 HST, so about $1k price difference from the DT. The incentives get pretty much covered the dealer fees/prep.
Like you I also had a hard time getting responses from dealers for quotes, almost seemed like I was doing there job for them at times.
Hopefully you get your tractor soon. I was only looking at tractors in stock as I heard to may stores about stuff not getting delivered.

Where did you end up buying from? Crystal is a big one here in Central Florida.
I'm not sure where any smaller dealerships are on the west coast.
I would bet there is one in Brooksville.
There is a couple dealerships around the Ocala area, and one Kioti place there didn't even answer the phone. Their name has changed and last time I drove by it looked out of business.
