Had to investigate a farm accident many years ago (never quite figured out if it was really an accident) where a guy was bush hogging a pasture, went about 100’ out of the field and over a 60’ cliff on an old Ford Workmaster that had the old style bucket seat with the horn in the middle that would cross your eyes if you bounced up and landed too far forward. The driver was wearing flip flops. Nothing else, just flip flops. We all kind of figured toxicology (he died) was going to come back with meth or LSD or something, like the guy in the news article, but it was clean. Everyone involved had experience on similar machines and no one could imagine that method for suicide, particularly while naked for no apparent reason, but it was a possibility. Had to interview his few neighbors and he didn’t have a habit of bush hogging naked. Probably more likely some sort of psychotic episode.

I haven’t driven a tractor naked and have no plans to, but it sure wouldn’t be on a Ford Workmaster with a half worn out seat if I ever did.

Well since we are telling about our mistakes, I raised the back hoe to get more weight out on the rear of the tractor and was lifting some concrete with my bucket and when I backed up I put the back hoe through the window of the house.

LOL.

I did the same when my tractor was new and I was cleaning it. Forgot the backhoe stick was horizontal, and backed it through a 4x6 window in my workshop.

Above ground basement...12 windows same size...now 11 plus some plywood...replacement has been a low priority...That window is still waiting to be replaced after about 18 years!

So I learned not to clean my tractor...:ROFLMAO:
