I have an old Dutchman camper that I am disposing of. Lots of leaks and rotted floors, so not worth saving or selling. We finished pulling the metal off the inside and outside yesterday morning, so then it was demolition time. Enter the Kubota.
Started with this

I was able to break the walls apart pretty easily and then push the ceiling off.

Then hooked the utility trailer up and hauled most of the wood back to the burn pile.

Day ended with this. Still have the metal roof to get folded up to take to scrap and then some more demolition, but made some good progress.

Nice bit of work for a little machine! Are you saving the trailer for farm work?

I did something similar ~17yrs ago.
Saved the frame and made a utility trailer out of it.

I might. I already have the utility trailer in the pics. It was an old Shasta camper.

I will have to see what the condition of the frame is. I have a feeling it isn’t in great shape. A few years ago the frame rusted through where one end of the axle spring attached. I had to fab up a large U channel to slide over the frame and reattach the spring to it.

I am thinking of swapping one of the axles over to my other smaller utility trailer since it stronger than the onecurrently on it and would also have brakes.

Really, I will just have to look at everything once I have easy access to it and decide then.

2 trips to the scrap yard and3 bonfires later we are about finished up. Inspected it some to see if the frame would be worth making a utility trailer out of. While it isn’t rusted out too bad the metal is very thin and weak. Easily bent and torn. Thinking I will just steal the axles from it to upgrade my other trailer.

Wish I had gotten some pics of using my BX to rip it apart. After pulling most the wood off the roof I was able to use the bucket to fold, flatten and lift it into my small 4x8 trailer to take to scrap.

I was also able to use the FEL to remove the plywood floor from the frame rails. Put the edge of the bucket between the plywood and the frame…. then lift and push. With it being soft from water it came apart pretty easily. If I would have had to do it by hand it would have been a pain and taken at least 3-4 times as long.

Things are getting cleaned up nicely!

Gotta love a good bonfire! Judging by the pic, it looks like it only took one match to get it started! :ROFLMAO:

Good job. No fires in my area right now though. Too much chance of a wildfire since we are in a drought.

Not here. Our spring was pretty dry, but then this summer we have been getting a bunch of rain. Enough that it is making it hard to find a good time to mow and low spots in my garden are suffering.

Well, yeah just one match.......but I may have thrown a little gas on it and made a trail so I wasn't too close when I lit it.
