Is that an Amish tractor? I know the Amish do not use air filled tires...

Yes it is.
Talked to a boy about 14 years old riding a John Deere riding mower and asked him about the tires on it and he said he didn't know why they had those type tires, the church had the answer.

The only places I have seen them used up here is at the metal recycle yard and on some equipment at the land fill... Some land fill equipment is on steel wheels with packing spikes..

They have their place, but the beauty of a regular tire is that you can adjust air pressure for different traction and flotation requirements.

Around here, the Amish have rubber tires on their tractors, if they use one.
I even saw this a while back at the Big R store, The driver said the front wheels and tires were off Harleys.
