Need help/ advice in replacing a universal joint on the transmission end on my 1973 B7100. I've removed the loader and loader frame. found the broken universal joint. Access hole is quite small. Do i need to remove remove the driveshaft from the front axle to get the universal out?

On a B7200 you do. Drive the cross pin out of the rear yoke and the drive shaft will slide forward allowing the ujoint to come off the transmission output shaft. Drop it down and withdraw the other end from the front differential.

This one came out on its own when the worn joint jammed against the center housing and snapped the transmission output shaft. Now the transmission has to be torn down....

Unrelated, but being new here you may miss a B7100 thread (title wrongly says B1700) that will be of interest to you possibly. About a bolt you NEVER want to remove...
