B2650 loader disconnect pins

The pins that are used to disconnect the loader from the tractor There are 2 of them secure with a rod that goes through the pins
Is it normal to move outside ? During normal operation? Any way to make it safer? Keep driving them back in , and the rod on the pin looks kind of soft
Kind of stupid design, concerned about pin coming out and mess up the loader

The rod sticks thru the steel loop beneath to secure the pin.

Perhaps you should check the bolts that are holding the arms to the frame of the tractor. There should be no reason for the pins to be forced out. Make sure everything is tight.

They work themselves out until the arm stops them.
you shouldn’t be hitting them. Learn the steps to take your loader off, then you can relieve the pressure on the pins and gently push them back.
I take mine out and grease them. Any moving part should be greased.
Take the pressure off the pins and remove them. Then grease them with your fingers and slide them back. I take mine out about every ten hours, wipe them off and reapply grease.

Yeah, I think there is more going on here than meets the eye. The loader pin is under pressure most of the time except when you take weight off the front wheels.

Mine work themselves out until the safety arm stops them. My safety arms aren’t bent in the least. If they are bending, then there is an alignment problem.

The pins might drift in or out a bit but unless something is loose or bent such that something is out of line, seems the only force on the loader pins is in the plane parallel to the loader arms. If they’re being forced out with enough force to bend the keeper pin or have any legitimate concern about the strength of the keeper pin being sufficient to retain the loader pins, there has to be some significant underlying problem with the loader that needs to be addressed.

Received a call from my dealer today about my LX. Said there is a recall on a loader pin, didn’t specify which one, about a length issue. Said it was only for the LA535 I believe. May want to call yours and ask about it.

Hi all,
I noticed on my LX2610 ( silver loader pins ) are barely protruding on the back "engine side" of the loader. I never would have noticed this, until I read this thread. I assume the pin should be about a quarter inch longer. I also noticed some of the LX machines have black pins - I wonder if the black pins are a replacement. I will be calling my dealer Monday - but does anybody know of an official recall? LA535 loader....

That does look very short. My B2601 I'm sure has more sticking out than that. To be fair, it's pushed as far out as it can go without hitting the retainers, and it's flush with the hole - so longer wouldn't give more purchase, it'd be spare sticking out the side. But I wouldn't be comfortable with that little room for error.

That's a good point. When I push the pin back twords the motor there is plenty of length. It seems like the ring loop is too large rather than the pin being to short. I used zip ties to keep the pin from backing out until the dealer comes up with a fix.

Mine frequently work out to the keepers, but the keepers definitely aren't bending.

The pins on my B2650 loader sometimes drift out. The stopper rods keep them from coming out and they are not bent. I believe that this is normal, depending on how you are using the loader.
