Has anyone ever made a tool for scraping the grass off the sides of a gravel driveway?

I am a very new tractor owner (BX2380, no FEL, but do have a back blade) and tried to scrape
the grass that's slowly eating into my driveway on both sides.

I made kindof a mess. What I didn't realize (because I am so new) was that any undulations under the tires are transferred to the rear blade, thus I have some small areas here and there where it worked perfectly ! Just like a potato peeler....and other places where instead of peeling back grass, I dug up nice portions of my well established (flat) gravel driveway.

I like to tinker, (but I am not a real fabricator) so am thinking of making SOMETHING like a mini/micro back blade (weighted on top) , that only hangs out on one side (to the right , looking behind) and it's just a coupe feet wide.

That way any up/downs will only ruin the "grass" and not affect the driveway proper.

I am sure I am not the first guy to think of this, or need to tackle a minor job like this......or to try a back blade for this purpose.

Thanks for any ideas.

(and no, I am not buying a $1500-$2000 box blade or $4500 FEL right now)

If there's a way, please teach me...if someone's built something...a pic or two would be awesome !

Thanks guys

Some bush hog users will replace the top link with a short piece of chain. Would be a cheap experiment.

OK, so you're saying to take off my top link and replace it with a chunk of chain and keep trying the back blade? What does this do for me?

Sorry--I have 7 hours on the 'BX and maybe 1/2hr using a back blade, so color me very green !

Along with the chain toplink idea, add adjustable casters behind the blade. It should keep it from digging in too deep when the tractor drops in a hole.

Blade would sort of float, pivot on lower arm pins. Lifting it will take slack out of chain. May not work very well, just a cheap test

I welded a wheel axel cantilevered off the back of the blade with golf cart wheels mounted. Think motor grader. I drop the blade fully and use the top link to control the grader depth. Gives very good control and smooth results.
