Hi all, looking for options/opinions for a moldboard or pan disc plow. I have a 4701 and believe it could handle a double bottom or a double disc. Have been given opinions that it would do three, just not sure of that. Anyone care to give me some help on this? I think either would require coulter blades. Would be used in gardening as well as building new food plots in abandoned hunting lease. Thanks for your thoughts

Coulters are a must for the food plots. A 2 bottom is good. It would pull 3 in a already plowed field.

Good hunting

Agree with BigG. Limit it to 2 bottoms and yes, you will need coulters.

Disc plows are specialized devices and produce lots of side thrust. Not sure your tractor is heavy enough for one of any size.
