Hi all:

So - I've got a pretty new LX2610. Rear R14 is flat - not sure if hole or whether I broke the bead. I can get the lug nuts mloose, but the bolts are wearing me out. Tried electric impact wrench but no joy. Trying a 5 foot breaker bar tonight. I did the penetrating oil, hitting with hammer. Would an air impact wrench with a lot more torque help?

Rant part - stopped by dealer to ask for help - they basically said, we can zip them right off, and want me to drag the whole tractor in (never mind that the tire is completely flat. End rant.

Thoughts? (Thanks in Advance)

I don't have your tractor but I can relate to tight bolts. For my mower deck every time I take off the blades for sharpening I use an pneumatic impact gun. The bolts just zip right off. Before I started using the impact gun, I used to use a long breaker bar and that was really difficult. Try a pneumatic impact gun. It works wonders.

Have you tried to air up the tire? (Easy question for me to ask since I’m lucky enough to have a large capacity shop compressor.)

Jack the tractor up to get the weight off the tire and air it up.

Next option: Call a trucking/tractor mobile tire service. Here’s one in your hometown, there may be others : https://zohr.com/locations/smithville/

If you really need to get it off. . .
When I had the same problem while installing spacers, a user here recommended putting a jack under the wrench end (opposite of handle) so when you push down on the handle the other end is supported and socket won't come off nut.

As stated above a couple of times..... Two words...Harbor Freight 3/4 impact driver. Tried to remove my pivot bolts on my Bush Hog blades and bent the breaker bar. Spent $129.00 with coupon on impact off in 3 seconds.

$140 bucks or so and you have a tool you can use when needed. It will cost double that to haul it to them.

If not already using them, recommend 6-point socket over a 12-point on lug nuts. Less chance of rounding them off. Breaker bars & impacts make it easy for that to happen.
