Hey everybody I have an LX2610 on order and I keep going back and forth on whether or not to order Kubota third function kit with it. I’m going through the equine program so I can get 20pct off of it if I order this kit with the tractor, which is very appealing, but I’m still not sold on whether or not I need a grapple yet. I’ve also noticed new electric grapples are coming out and other interesting options that makes me think down the line it might be easy to add on one if I change my mind. My main question is will the Kubota third function kit work with every type of hydraulic grapple that is made for a compact tractor in the Lx size or is there specific ones that will and won’t work with that kit? Also what’s your opinion on if I should get that up front with tractor?

my order so far is Lx2610w/ loader, 60” bucket, larger R14’s, and loaded tires. I have a set of SSQA land pride forks already in my garage and a carry all to move my firewood around.

You need it.
Get it.
You need the grapple asap too.

This is the one "option" I didn't click when I ordered mine. Since then I had the dealer install my 3rd function 5 months later. :geek:

The only problem with the Kubota 3rd function, are the weirdly large loop of hose from the valve to the loader arm. It’s just begging to get caught on a limb and ripped off. Originally I wanted the factory option for the hard lines down the loader arm, but then I saw the weird loop of hose, no thanks. Went with summit hydraulics and saved about $600 over the Kubota kit. Install was easy as well.

3rd function kit in concept fits all grapples and other similar tools. The thing to watch out for is the connectors - connector type and size has to match your implement. But you change one or the other - so if you have an implement already you get your third function installed with matching connectors. If you install the 3rd function first, then when you buy the implement you ask for one with connectors that match.
