Thats not much information to go on. There are many manufactures that color their fluid. Most likely you will never find out which brand it is do to the many that are out there. The dye can also be to any brand of fluid. What are you trying to do add some or replace the fluid?

What manufacturer produces red/rose colored hydraulic fluid?
The older or straight hydraulic systems like the ones frequently seen in industrial applications to supply power often use the old 303 fluid which is usually red. I doubt this is what you want to use.

MIL-5606 was what we used on B-52, that was red. Maybe someone got a deal on some surplus?

Mil-5606-Hyd fluid is red. Not often found in tractors I don’t think, tho’. I”ve seen it used in 2,000 psi aircraft hyd systems for flight controls, brakes, landing gear actuators, flaps, ets. It’s a simple mineral-oil base universal type fluid.

Its possible somebody put some Oil-Glo 50 "easily pinpoints leaks in hydraulic fluid" (their ad) or a similar product in the system. If that's what it is, it shouldn't hurt anything but you may want to change the fluid just in case.

Ditto what Bark stated. Hyd oil possibly could of had dye added. I added red dye to my JD 4255 & Kubota M7040 hyd reservoirs so hyd oil level on dipstick could be more easily seen.

Not wanting to hijack the thread but that is brilliant guys. I have only used it when trying to find a leak in something. With my eyes, I have a heck of a time seeing the UDT2 on the dipstick or anywhere else.

Could also be Dexron ATF. It’s often used as a hydraulic fluid, but shouldn’t be used in a common sump tractor because it lacks the extreme pressure additive for the differential..
Any leaked 5606 gets pretty gooey in a short time.
