My introduction to Mouse Milk was a few months ago when I could not free up the 3ph speed lowering knob. Someone here recommended Mouse Milk. Like magic it worked. I just let it sit overnight and it I was able to turn it by hand. Previously I had tried an adjustable pliers on it with zero success.

Fast forward to this week. Now I'm putting on my Craigslist find of a Landpride PD-15 post hole digger. It appears to be just what it looked like when I bought it - A hardly used implement that aged in the sun a few years. The flight doesn't even have much paint rubbed off.
However it does have a 'collar' connection on the tractor side of the drive shaft. Of course the 3 balls don't release enough to get it all the way on. Even with my son helping there was no success. I called Landpride yesterday. The gentleman was very understanding and knew what the issue was immediately.
He suggested disassembling the spring assembly and cleaning everything including using emery cloth on the balls. After looking at the retainer that has to be removed I was convinced I would never get it back together if I took it apart. So that was the last resort.

Last night I soaked everything in Mouse Milk and left it overnight. This morning I was able to slide it right on myself. A big Tip of the Hat to whomever recommended this to me :)

Had to google mouse milk too. Never heard of it before. I will be ordering a bottle of it soon. Nice to be able to save some grief and labor so easy ....... thanks for the head's up!

I'm surprised it doesn't cost more.
Must be pretty labor intensive milking enough mice to fill an 8oz bottle.

My "stuck rusty nut" problem is at the farm which ironically also happens to be my mouse problem but of course those "mouses" have never shared their milk with me,

Gotta replace both gear boxes on my 3008 bushhog so I have a perfect situation to try it out so we shall see.

Wish I could draw well enough to cartoon, but imagine a row of tiny little stanchions with meece in them, and a long line of meece waiting their turns to get milked and eat their tiny little pieces of cheese..

I have had good luck using Deep Creep by Seafoam. I did look at the cost of the Mouse Milk on Amazon, and it is about $2 an ounce for the 8 ounce size, when you figure in the cost of the product and the cost of shipping. Right now, I don't have a need for another penetrating oil, so I will wait for the rest of the reviews. I never felt that I had to have the newest item to market before it has been proven by the masses.

I read somewhere that the name was a sorta take off from "snake oil" which as we all know is some powerful stuff.

It seems to have a huge following in the airplane industry. ??

I never really looked up the origin of it, till now. As Magicman mentioned it has a huge following in the aircraft industry (just google "Mouse Milk")
I looked at some tractor specific search results. It's not new stuff. Apparently they have been milking those critters for quite a while:

Old Time Tractors

The thread where I found it - wasn't here :( was on tractorbynet.
