Well, trying to find a silver lining, you may get some tractor time to do some clean up work.

Stay safe.

We have a bad one headed our way. I hope everyone in its path fairs ok.
Yup, I am in zone 4 with a 6-10pm time frame. Thankfully we skimmed by the popup storm this morning.

(By the way, I was close to you two weeks ago when I sawed a job North of Gluckstadt on Red Fox Ln.)

How often do you "visit" the underground storm cellar? We don't have them in Pennsylvania. The Wizard of Oz is my point of reference. Stay safe and be careful.

Yeah hope all you folks down there stay safe. Tornados and giant hail is nothing to mess with.

We dodged a bullet here in Madison county just north of Jackson.

A little rain, lots of thunder and lightning is a all it was.

MagicMan, yall make out ok down there?

Yup, one storm went South of us and another went North. Looks like you also dodged this one.

These storms have me continually rescheduling sawmilling. The customers understand rescheduling but they all have a way of thinking that they are next.

Lots of heavy rain and thunder boomers from around 4:30 this morning till around noon.

Wofe got woken up when our shepherd decided to cram herself between my wifes head, and the headboard on the bed.

She doesn't like thunder storms.

Daren, my wifes sister lives in Maumelle. She sent some pics of the golf course behind their house. It looked like a lake.

We did but there are folks ~50 miles away that did not. No fatalities but much damage. The NE is in the path now. Hopefully they will be OK.

I saw that ABC's chief meteorologist, Ginger Zee was/is in Jackson.

Good to hear most of yas fared OK out there, and that the storms weren't any worse. Could have been really bad, though. All the right conditions for a super storm like the one that ate Tuscaloosa and North Birmingham several years ago were there, but managed not to mix up just right.

Not really neighbors, MagicMan, but have stayed in Brookhaven several times working at the Monticello paper mill as well as in Hattiesburg when working at the Leaf River mill.

We'll see the good ol' boys and gals come outta the woodwork to help with the clean up. Just glad there weren't any injuries or deaths.

We got hammered here in Alabama. I was fortunate with no damage as the storms tracked about 30 miles west of us but some didn't come out so well.

Kinda went between us aaluck. Clanton took a pretty good wallop, but I'm still pretty amazed that there weren't any injuries/deaths reported.

I attribute the lack of injuries and deaths to plenty of advance warning and people paying attention to them.

It did. I was outside looking to the NW and the sky was nothing but bolts of lightning for about 2.5 straight hours.
