First post for me on this forum. I just bought what I believe to be an early 1980s model B7200E. It came with what I'm fairly certain is an RC60-72A Deck (PTO drive on the front of the tractor) and a no-name grader blade. It's in pretty decent shape for the age, and I'm going to enjoy it I think.

Anyway, I ordered fluids, filters, blades, and deck gearbox input shaft bearings & seals. So, hopefully tomorrow and/or Sunday, I'll be changing oil & filter, fuel filter, air filter and replacing bearings & seal in the gearbox. I'll also be taking the deck to my brother-in-law's for a bit of welding. There's a small crack in the side of the otherwise intact deck.

Cut the grass with it today. It did great for as thick as the grass was. It's just like always remember it cutting at papaw's house.

Codi, that PTO shaft looks pretty gringy. Need to clean it up!!;)

As you operate that tractor, it can always be a memorial to your Pawpaw! Keep taking care of it.

I have to get some degreaser for the shaft. It's pretty thick grease build up on the back u-joint closest to the gear box. The sliding part of the shaft, Just doesn't have paint on it anymore so it looks dirty but is just metal that I put a coat of grease on so it slides easier. I've be thinking of giving the mower a new coat of paint and the tractor has a few spots that need touched up. Painting the weights is a possibility. ;)

Still have to change the hydraulic fluid on it. The dealer that papaw was using in Tennessee have him the wrong filter for the hydraulics so I have to go get the right one.

I'll attach some progress pics. I have completed my fluid and filter change, except for my fuel filter, which I will do just before start up. I replaced some hydraulic hoses, and replaced my new seat. I did some paint touch up work, but the blue is a little too bright for my liking. I will see if I can find something that matches closer and touch it up again.

Today, I hope to get the old front tires off the rims. The good news is, there appears to be tubes in them, since they were liquid filled. From what I saw of the first rim. they look much cleaner inside that what I was expecting. I was expecting lots of rust.

I also hope to get the coolant drained today. I need to replace the radiator hoses, get the damaged neck replaced on my radiator and install my temperature gauge, like Hokie did.

Where did you get your seat at?? I've been looking for a new one for mine. They look identical
Both Messicks and Coleman carry it. I thought it was reasonably priced as well. It was just under $78. The part number is 66711-45900. I had to order 2 new rubber cushions that mount to the top of the rear axle as well, since they were missing and the last owner welded a bar across the back instead. I took it back to the original design.

Thanks :D Gonna get one coming. That old seat is rusted out and the cushion is a mouse magnet :p:eek: Sat down on the seat last summer and felt something squirming behind me  bloody mouse had a nest inside the seat. Scared me half to death. Thought it was a snake

LOL...sounds like a wise choice to me. I can't believe the extent that the previous owner went with trying to make this seat last. The cushion is gone, there were apparently all kinds of cracks in the pan that he welded up. There was a plate welded to the bottom. This seat looked like Frankenstein.

Yup, some people spend more on a temporary fix then it would have cost to replace the part  Seats ordered through colemans. Should be here wednesday.

Unfortunately, today's project was to take the box blade off and put the snowblower back on.

We're scheduled for 5-8" of that white s**t which shall remain unnamed overnight and into tomorrow. :(
