I figured this group would know the answer to this. I bought one of these:

And I can bend the thing prying on stuff (say, prying on a stump/roots or some hunk of rock in the ground). Seems like the steel is way too soft. I want something that a human can't bend. I know it can be made.
Where can I buy it?

Keep the one you have for tamping in fence posts and cutting roots in a hole. Google "True Temper" 11562500, 66inch pinch bar. If you bend it you're a very strong person. Carrying it around a work area will give you a workout. It works great for fitting 8,10 and 12 inch SDR-35 pipe/fittings. It's good to have both.

I bought one at Harbor Freight. In spite of the chinese made stuff, it’s very stout or maybe it’s just strong because I’m old now. My younger self might have been able to bend/break it.

Thats what I have at my house. The heavy bar for prying and a tamp bar for packing holes and cutting roots.

Thanks for the replies. The True Temper bars might be a good option. It's just hard to tell which ones are the proper steel. I'm 240lb and I want to be able to pry on things without worrying that I'm going to bend my bar. I probably wouldn't mind spending $100 on a 72" bar that is indestructible. I like chisel/blade end.

Browsing the True Temper website, it seems their digging bars are tempered steel and their pry bars are hardened steel.

I wouldn't mind owning a few different variants, so if people have further suggestions I'd be happy to hear them.
