I don't think that drilling and tapping epoxy will hold. Have you thought about using anchor bolts instead? They come in several sizes but here is just one example,

I had thought about anchor bolts. The draw back is that the bolt exerts outward pressure to hold it in place. I think that pressure will break the plastic. I have used epoxy method before. This was 20 years ago.

I didn't realize the part was plastic. The epoxy method has as good a chance of working as any other on plastic.

I would recommend these inserts. I don't know if you can screw them into the epoxy after it has set though. If the tapping strips out, you could glue these in.

Wow it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Krusty is all back together and has been a great addition. I found a 60” deck that works better than I though. I have also found a front mount for a dirt/snow blade. I am currently fabing my garden way blade to fit. I also just bought a swisher dirt bucket. I will fab up a hitch for that also.
