Brother D,

sometimes I just have to shake my head !!!

I am one of "those" people that like to think that science has a somewhat creditable pedigree, and having said that - I still look at some things with an open mind!

- there are those that really believe the earth is flat

-there are those that really think the earth is ONLY 6000 years old

- there are those that think we faked the entire moon landing of the 60's

- there are those the REALLY think the vaccine has a microchip in it - ( I got my first shot today so far so good)

- there are those that think the snow/ice in Texas was a government conspiracy and the ice would not melt rather burn........

The situation with said COWS ..... is that THEY produce METHANE .... and apparently a lot of it, cars on the other hand PRODUCE Carbon Dioxide - and over the last 50 years a lot less of that !
SO a cow is killing the ozone faster than cars .......

Methane damages the ozone a lot more than Co2 .... a lot more - so when ol Bill said was a factual statement, not just some smartass comment.....

More on the subject if you wish COWS vs CARS

Now - I am not going out to shoot a cow cause they fart a lot - if that was the case, I would be riddled with holes via my wife!!!!

But what does frustrate me are comments made that seem a little crazy in the written text - but after one does a little research on the subject matter ...... find that statement to be more of fact than fiction.

Now to answer your question ..... which to sleep with............. do we get to stay in a Holiday Inn express?:ROFLMAO:

Apparently they haven't seen how small the needle is that they use for the injections. A grain of salt would plug it, let alone a microchip. Typical uninformed conspiracy theory sheeple.

Hell, I never even felt it, wouldn't have known he gave me the injection if I didn't see him do it.

Frig the cow, a buddy of mine once cleared out a building that held almost 200 people, no lie. I was at the far end of the building when the nuclear bomb went off but it didn't take lone before the cloud of stink made it's way to where I was working, lord help me. Didn't take long to figure out who it was because when the meat wagon pulled up he was the only one standing in front of it.

Actually, they have chips that small

Hitachi Develops World's Smallest RFID Chip - TFOT (thefutureofthings.com)

Most IM injections are done with a 22-25 gauge needle. (The IV you get in the hospital is typically 18 or 20 gauge needle.)

Now with that being said, do I believe everyone that is getting the vaccine is being chipped? No, but technically it is possible. It is also possible I could win the lottery today, just not probable.

What frustrates many of us is using “science” to promote political agendas. Sure, there may be some facts involved, but in most cases, there’s also a lot of opinion that can easily be turned into humor. ;)

Also, consider that Bill Gates has no science degree. In fact, he has no degree at all as a college dropout. That doesn’t make him dumb, but it doesn’t give him the science background that we should blindly believe. Well, unless you go around believing science promoted by other high school graduates. ;)

I would agree with you if Gates was using a study that he concocted and ran himself with no peer review or other sources. However, he is instead referencing other studies that have been completed by those with college degrees specializing in that field. What you appear to be suggesting (not saying you are) is that only those with specific training can reference results of these studies and their results. While in fact almost the opposite is true.

The ones conducting those experiments release their hypothesis, methods, data, results, and their interpretation of those results so that others can attempt to replicate or disprove their hypothesis and so others can see and understand the results themselves without years if not decades of training and experience. This doesn't mean that all results should be taken as fact and there are ways to get skewed data without trying to (or trying to and disguising it if you are so inclined) but that is what peer review is for.

Also keep in mind probably 90% of the cars in the world operate for 4 hours or less on average a day. This is shooting from the hip but to exceed this someone's job would require at least a 2 hour commute one way or a job that requires 50% travel requirements all in a car. Cows on the other hand are producing methane for 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Bill should put his money where his mouth is and engineer a better cow for the sake of humanity.
Being a eugenicist that ought to be right up his alley.

No, I’m suggesting that science isn’t infallible, and a bad nonworkable solution is no solution at all. If you caught Bill’s interview or part of it, Bill’s suggestion is to not eat meat. We’ll get used to it. It’s politics disguised as science. I’m not saying there isn’t some science involved, but science like anything can be used to disquise an opinion when an opinion will work just as well.

Fwiw, I’m pretty sure those who thought the world was flat were “scientists”. Different “scientists” thought some races were superior to others. I think most of us think those scientists even though the majority agreed were wrong. My point is science isn’t always right any more than any other field.

Btw, it seems we both chose a Kubota L2501, so I guess we both are part of the problem considering we didn’t by a DPF model. ;)

No one here stated that science is infallible, that's what peer review is for and why most things in scientific and mathematical fields are theories and not laws. For example the Pythagorean theorem is thousands of years old and has yet to be disproven but it is not a law, and there are only 4 known laws of thermodynamics, etc.. This demonstrates that the area is fallible and it knows it, which is why it relies so heavily on releasing methods and data so others can peer review it or try and assemble an experiment to disprove it. Also most any public figure uses science (or distrust of) to push their agenda. However, it is an easier sell (as it should be) with data to back it up which science provides.

Now just because science says that we can reverse climate change by removing cow beef (I believe he suggested eating lab grown instead not cutting it out entirely) from the diets of Americans doesn't mean that we have to or even should do it. It does highlight possibilities on areas that could be high impact. For example if feed lots put a fume hood or the like over their pens and then captured lets say 30% (this is probably on the low end of what could actually be captured) of the released methane; that could be an additional revenue stream for them to separate it and sell it as fuel (natural gas is 70-90% methane) and cutting down on cattle emissions by probably 15% (since not all cattle are in feed lots and not all feed lots would do it).

What the study does is provide us with information and data. It is then the rest of the scientific community's job to disprove or support it with additional tests, and society's job to figure out how to best implement it. Not just take the most drastic option available (some people in society will do that) but a lot of gains can be made with small adjustments.

Also sadly the L2501 was the largest tractor in my price range :(. Once the warranty wears out, another user on here posted info on how to safely boost the power with small adjustments and a low pressure turbo. In the next few years it'll start sounding like a jet.

Group poll. Do you pronounce data as: data or data?

We have made a mistake (mainly the "science reporters" have done this disservice) by holding up "peer reviewed" to mean "confirmed and true".

It is then the rest of the scientific community's job to disprove or support it with additional tests
That part seems to get missed a lot.
