2 grab hooks in line with the cylinders and a big slip welded to 1/4" angle in the center.

That is about exactly what I did as well. Totally happy with that set up and absolutely no regrets!
I did weld a piece of 1/4 inch angle across the top to stiffen the top lip and give something strong to weld to.
I went a cheap route.. Using welded D rings with 2 hole bolt down straps.. I put them back to back, inside and on top of the bucket flange in line with the loader arms..
The trick I suspected was wise is to use good quality bolts.. I also use trailer safety chains, about 4' long with a hook on each end.. Both of these items are rated for more than my loader is rated to lift..
Has worked well for about $30 or so for the whole kit..
