It wasn't on or to my LX2610, but it is sort of remotely related, kinda like the sister-in-law's best friend's second cousin twice removed, and in a way FOR my LX2610 by proxy of Woodland Mills and Poulan. Too cold (for a Southerner) to be outside today, so I piddled with the chain saw in my garage instead. Put new fuel lines, fuel filter, and air filter on my 12 year old Poulan P4018 today. Disassembly revealed that a repair shop that I paid to tune up my saw a few years ago didn't bother with the broken return line, and hooked up the inlet line where the return should be. I don't know the logic behind it, but for some reason there's two different size lines used. My guess is the repair shop didn't have any of the larger line and patched enough to get it out of the shop. I'm not even sure how the primer bulb was even working on it. First and last time I'll ever do business with them. Didn't really need it but replaced the primer bulb along with the fuel lines. Came in the kit I bought and I figured it would be more useful on the saw than laying on a shelf somewhere. Found the rubber check valve for the fuel cap as well as the original line filter rattling around in the tank. Was constantly getting fuel all over me, and it would go through a lot of fuel very quickly (pouring most of it on the ground or on me). Original return line was crumbled inside the housing right below the carb. Couldn't find the little nipple that should go in the return line to keep it from backing out of the tank, but left plenty line in the tank and it fits so tight that it nearly pulls the vinyl line in two when threading it through the hole. A little tedious, but generally speaking, not a bad job. Youtube is your friend, though I could only find videos about the WT (Wild Thing) variant of my saw. Would have replaced the ignition module too (found some chafing on the plug wire), but the one I ordered didn't fit despite the description claiming it would work on anything from a Wizard outboard motor to a Ryobi string trimmer. I exaggerate, but it was supposed to fit a LOT of different saws (and weed eaters, really). Close, but just enough difference I couldn't make it fit without some mods to the saw case. Nah, not gnawing on my saw for a wrong part listed to fit it. Was cheap enough it'll be more trouble to send back than it is to just toss it. Spark plug is still good (I just used the saw on Saturday). Filled up with fuel tonight, and sitting in the garage to see if it's gonna leak overnight. Bone dry so far. So tomorrow, I get to set the carb and then I can lay down more stuff to feed to the WC-68. Hopefully it'll run a lot better since it'll be a complete fuel circuit again. That's what I get for letting others work on my stuff.
