L3800. Engine working fine. It's I have minimal movement from the hydraulic front loader and 3point . The tractor was sluggishly moving backwards and forward . Now it stopped moving. I have a hydrostatic transmission.

I tried adding Hydraulic fluid . Backwards and forward movement seems like it's almost slipping and then catches. Hard to tell on this machine if hydraulic is full or not. I don't know if I should try adding more Hydraulic fluid. Is it possible to put too much in the.re? No signs of leaks.

It's 10 degrees outside. Any any suggestions. Only 380 hours on the tractor. I Let the tractor run for 30 minutes in case it just needed to warm up.

Do not overfil it. I have heard of water in the transmission up your way and if it freezes it can block or restrict fluid flow until it thaws out just a though.

How's the power steering? Make sure the 3 point hitch is not at the very top or the very bottom... Yes, let it warm up. Is the clutch locked on? Depress and locked down? Any sounds like extra whine or LACK there of?
Power steering is sticking too or going dead. Clutch is moving good. That does not seem to be an issue. Lots of whining when I managed to move Or no noise at all when I press the pedal and it does not move.

What do you think about anti-gel in the hydraulic ?

Are you using SUDT fluid?

No, no anti-gel add.

When did you last change the two filters for HST and hydraulics?

Would check the pressure at the front loader because it is a quick connect. Replacing filters would be my next move. If still not working then go to workshop manual to check the charge pressure. If that is no good then inspect and flush the charge relief valve.

Is your tractor sitting in the 10 degree F or is it in a warmer temperature? You may have water that is frozen in the filters. If you can get it inside and above freezing for some time you may see if that eliminates the problem.

Check the large suction hose right in front of and below your brake pedals. See if it has a crack in it.
They are prone to cracking or splitting which will let it suck air rather than hydraulic fluid. It usually happens right at the bend in the hose.

You have a fluid and filter contamination issue or like White tiger said a suction line issue.
Get into someplace look at hose, and or warm drain all hydraulic fluid , replace fluid and all filters.

Warm up tractor and change HST/HYD. filters. If water, change trans fluid, use Super UTD.

Turns out that water had gotten into the hydraulics. Not sure how it happened. I was working up to the axles in mud during the floor, but the event is much higher than that.

I sent it in for service and they flushed out the Hydraulics and refilled.
