So I have a b2710 with 402 fel. so I notice this a couple times 1st my 3 point hitch falls over night from up to ground. No buggy holds pressure while running so wasn't to worried. But now if it is cold when I first start sometimes it dosnt come right up. And when it dosnt come right up the fel has no response either. But you let it run a few min it. Starts working no problem. I did it last night so I tried putting in low, and crept forward a few inches and that worked. Then the fel and 3pt hitch worked fine. All fluids are full and clean not milky not looking dirty or anything. Is it just due to oil and pumps not warmed up yet? Or air in system some how? When it was warmer no issues other than over night the 3pt hitch falls.

This seems to be about viscosity - the oil is very cold and does not "behave" as it should.
In your neck of the woods it will take a bit to warm up the hydraulics to make them work as they should.

And I would change the filter FIRST - and see if that makes ANY difference.

If not difference - Being a HST model - I would change the fluid - I know that will be a PITA - but IF you were to place S-UDT2 in there ...... the problem should go away.

Ok thanks. 85hokie that's what I was thinking but wanted some reassurance from the good people here. I am really glad I found this forum.

You need to be following Kubota's recommended warming procedure if you want to avoid expensive damage.

Just because the engine starts does not mean the tractor is ready for use.

Thanks Dave,
I do normally let it run when cold for 20 min to half hr anyway but it concerned me that the 3pt hitch wasn't coming up when I started it like it normally does and didn't want something trying to working it isn't working. If that makes sense and yesterday was kinda in s rush got home and needed to lift bucket to get something I parked to close to. (Tight quarters) and that was my concern. But I do understand that Equipment and diesels need warm up times. But great point I appreciate the reminders. Cause we all do get complacent too.

Check it for seeping leaks on the suction side (large line and filter), they will just bee wet spots.
When the fluid is cold it does not flow as well aa warm fluid so it will cavitate and suck air easier.
