One side of my hood gasket is coming loose. What should I use to 'glue' it back into place? I pushed the rubber gasket back on, but it doesn't hold, as soon as you open the hood, the gasket is dangling.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

We use 3M trim glue, several brands are available and will work equally well.

I used clear silicone on my loose gasket two years ago. Still there, and has never fallen off. Plus clear wont show if misapplied.

Last year on my b2650 the bottom hood gasket would not stay on the hood when put back. I found out by trial and error there is a metal C channel that is molded into the rubber gasket that became deformed. I fixed it but removing the gasket and squeezing it between my fingers to make the gap smaller and reinstalled. I have had no problems since and no tools or adhesives needed.

I will have to take a look.

My B2650 kept coming off last year and I finally just kept it off.

I thought about adhesive to keep it on but was worried about it freezing and then ripping when I opened the hood.

I have left it off since and have not though anymore about it, until now.

I've used silicone spray where the hood gasket contacts on closure to avoid it freezing to that surface.
