OK, I'm curious... WHAT is the purpose of of the 'hole' in the plastic trim panel behind the loader joystick arm ? I was going to put some switches for the LED lights in there but.... maybe I 'need' whatever feature the hole was originally designed for......

To run the wires up the joystick shaft for the 3rd function switch?

That is what I have on my BX1880. It is the Land Pride third function kit wiring, not the factory setup.

That is not what I was envisioning - is there another lever that could be in that slot? Hell - I have no idea what that is designed to do.

Looking at it a little closer....... notice the label patch - there must be something that slides in there, due to the label spot

That would be for an optional rear hydraulic remote valve (say you wanted a hydraulic chute rotator for a 3 point hitch snowblower)

Yes, it is for adding a 2 spool rear remote valve's control levers. Below is the last page of the assembly instructions.
