The manual (attached) mentions the ability to adjust the width of the rear wheels. In looking online, I've seen 2 piece rims, which I don't have. Are these tires adjustable or do I Need to buy spacers?

The rims on my L4701 are adjustable per the manual, dealer, and design. They are a two piece rim with brackets on the outer rim that are offset from the center line of the rim. The brackets can be set inside the center or outside the center which moves the wheel the width of the bracket plus the thickness of the center plate. Swapping sides with the rims while keeping tire tread facing same direction effectively flips the outer rim around and gives two more width options. As shown in the excerpt from the manual, there are four optional widths with The 17.5-24 R4’s on the L4701. The options for R1’s are different but R1 v R4 is not the controlling factor in adjustability. Whether it’s an 01 or 60 or M or B or L is not relevant. Whether the tractor has a two piece rim or a one piece rim and the available clearances control whether you can adjust the rim.

The issue you have, which you can see in the picture of your rim v mine, is you have a one piece rim (your rim doesn’t have the outer ring of bolts). Only way to adjust a one piece rim is with spacers.

I put 2" Bora spacers on my L2501 with R4's. Only wheel spacers I've ever bought, but they seem to be an excellent product. I did have to wait quite a while for them to arrive though. Of course, today I picked up a full R1 wheel set from my dealer, so I don't know whether I'll keep them on or not.

Did you trade your old R4's for the R1's or did you buy them as an extra set of tires?

Pretty sure you can sell the spacers far about what you paid...
They wouldn't take my R4's in a trade. Actually, my salesman said he would have to talk to the manager and since they were used (20 hours) he wasn't sure what they would be able to do. I didn't bother pursuing that angle, since I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep them and put them back on for the summer.

The R1 tire package for L2501, L3301 and L3901 (11.2 x 24) is $500 lower in cost in comparison to the R4 tire package when purchased with the tractor.

The WSM shows three different tire combinations with the 11.2 x 24 farm package. All three set ups reference the center disk cupped in the out position, while the disk can be reversed to face inwards I don’t believe this is feasible on the L25, 33 or 39 because it would contact the inside of the fender to frame area.
