Have 1550hst in which ROP is secured to back of tractor by several bolts on rear of tractor. Had accident with tractor and ROP was pulled from rear of tractor except for only a few bolts. Obviously affects 3 point hitch abilities. I know this is a problem, but the question is how big!? Looks like bolts were pulled out of rear end. Question is does entire rear end need to be replaced!? Can holes be redrilled.!? Looks like hydraulic oil leaking. Can part of rear end be replaced where ROP is secured. Can ROP be removed and then what about 3 point hitch!? Any idea of cost, parts, hours to fix thanks for any assistance

Thank you for the information! I really appreciate it! Not to seem too stupid, but the rear housing is everything in the rear axle!!?? Thanks for assisting those that are not as mechanically inclined that are trying to get by:)

That part is actually called the transmission.
Just want to confirm you have a B1550 2wd HST?
Then I can help you find the right parts.

Thank you for your reply back and guidance.

Can you advise when you speak of the rear housing, is that the entire rear end. I have done some research and that is broke down into right and left or just a "rear end." Sorry not at all familiar with this. Can you advise is this really time consuming to fix??!! Do you know approx hours to fix??!!

Thank you

Take a look at the diagrams in the Kubota illustrated parts list.

https://apps.kubotausa.com/illustrated-parts/

Click on ‘View Illustrated Parts’

Click on ‘I accept the Term and Conditions’ BOX then click on ‘open’

Enter your model – click on search and then click ‘OPEN’ next to your exact model

Parts list and diagrams will open in a new window

May well not be cost effective to fix this absent a parts tractor.

Cannot imagine how this could have happened if ROPs attachment bolts were properly installed and tightened.

As a follow up I did some looking and came up with this. Picture below is this correct
Sorry I sort of lied...
On a lot of other models they call it the transmission
On you model the picture you put up is called the transmission and on other models its called the mid case.
But on your model they call the part you need the diff gear case...

Wow! Replacing that differential gear case looks like the labor cost would be more than the value of the tractor...

The thought of paying someone to do that work leaves my pocketbook breathless.

Is the job actually simpler than it seems looking at the parts diagram?

I've replaced several, it only takes me about 8 hours to do it all.
