Again, my mileage and yours may differ and it's my choice, not yours. Don't much care if you urinate in your engine, only you and your engine knows... šŸ˜€

Stuff works for me and there is plenty of scientific evidence as to the cleansing properties of nano-borate, of which Archoil AR5000 additive is comprised of.

Besides if Jay Leno says it's good, it has to be. After all, Jay is a gearhead, rich gearhead.

Not sure if it's a feel good thing or not. All I know is my engines are very clean inside but then I change the lube oil regularly and I don't use cheap lubricants anyway. You usually get what you pay for and that applies to most things in life (except marriage).

At one time, Seafoam was recommended by Evinrude. Of course, now they recommend their own OMC house brand (which, for all I know, could be rebadged Seafoam).

(Edit: to clarify, they recommended it for cleaning out gummed up systems, not for routine use. )

I use a heated ultrasonic cleaner with Berryman's Carb cleaner in it to clean ethanol gummed up parts. Works very well. Good for greasy bearings and assemblies too.

If I remember correctly, Wolfman uses Stanadyne 'snake oil' in his diesel fuel. We all have our weaknesses for various elixirs I guess.

I canā€™t justify it. Leno doesnā€™t have to be frugal OR smart... he can afford to throw money away.

(Thatā€™s sorta like asking a banker what is best for a ghetto.... just because he has money people think heā€™s smart.... The fact heā€™s never lived in or been to the ghetto and doesnā€™t know squat about it has no bearing for most people... heā€™s rich so he must know. Reminds me of the song from ā€œFiddler on the Roof, ā€œIf I were a rich man...ā€. ā€œand it makes no difference if youā€™re right or wrong.... people think you really know.ā€

I use Archoil Ar9100 in my Powerstroke. 220k miles on stock injectors. Never thought to use it in my tractor.

Stuff isn't all that much in the first place an d you only add it to the oil, not in the fuel tank.

Me, I don't know much but I do know it works so I'll continue to buy it.

Because your engine is still doing what it was designed to do ...you think itā€™s because of the magic stuff.
I donā€™t use it and my engines do just as well as yours. I must just be lucky.

Isn't the fuel additive? I just use the oil additive. People say it don't work, I say it does and all one has to do is goggle up nano-borate and read bout it.

But then again, like with everything else, you mileage may vary. The Powerstroke guy on You Tube was offering free samples of it and I got one and been buying it ever since. Might try the fuel additive this time around as well.

Well Powerstrokes have a unique fuel system and it woks on them quite nicely.

Posted my last comment on this one. I don't need to 'argue about what I use or don't use because I'll keep using it anyway. Have a good day.

Ar9100 is the oil additive. I'm a factory trained (ex) Ford mechanic. I like it for Powerstrokes. I don't see the advantage for Kubota tractors, but I'm not trained on Kubota engines. I honestly don't know if it would do any good or not. Interesting thought though. Main thing is just to do the recommended maintenance when you're supposed to with the recommended lubricants. Not that it matters much, but I'm also a certified aircraft mechanic. I've spent a lot of time learning about preventative maintenance, lubricants etc. Other than the Powerstroke I don't use additives. This is really an argument (debate) that will never end and is on every forum with moving parts.

Thanks guys. Your responses are just what I figured. I'll just stay with the rotella and frequent oil changes.
