After purchasing my L2501 I decided to dig a wildlife watering hole. The project has already become a wildlife magnet.
I enjoyed seeing this 2 1/2? year old checking out the camera and watering hole while on the hunt for true love. :)

Note: the time stamp as far as the date is correct but the time is 3:36pm . I forgot to set the time back after going off daylight saving.

That makes all of your water hole building efforts worth while. (y)
Thank you!
Almost from the moment I first started digging and had some rain wildlife started visiting. From field mice, cotton tail, coyotes, birds and up to deer. I had no other water feature on my property before this.
Next spring/summer I will line with hopefully 6 to 8 inches of high clay content soil. Even though it has never been completely dry since digging it does seep in as my soil is mostly loamy sand.
Besides the benefit to wildlife, photo opportunity's, it gave me much needed loader experience.

We do not know nor understand the sight and hearing senses that wild animals have. I have seen too many instances/example of animals walking directly to or looking directly at game cameras, even some that were high off of the ground. They may or may not be afraid of it, but they can either see or hear stuff that is beyond our capabilities.

I have been pretty happy with this trail cam. The daytime pictures and video are very nice compared to some of my other branded cameras.
Browning 850 Defender

One of the features is that it has WiFI and Bluetooth which allows me to to change settings, retrieve videos or pictures from a short distance without getting my scent all over the cam.

Another shorter video. Young buck makes an appearance , does are not impressed.

Ken, those would be some awesome "sheds" to find this winter if that buck hangs around your place!! I have some nephews in the Cumberland area and they'll go out and find some pretty nice shed antlers in the woods.

I am always on the lookout for sheds as the deer population is improving on my place.

The way my luck goes at times I will “find” one of the sheds with a filled tire on the L2501! 🤪

This is not a trail camera picture. A Grandson took it this evening overlooking a food plot. There are 6 bucks along with 10 others getting a bite before this cold weather gets here tonight.

The furtherest one dead center of the picture is a 10 point probably 3 1/2 years old. Hopefully he and a few more can squeeze through this season without becoming sausage.

I'm going to build a nice tree stand this summer for my daughter and I. Shes getting a new crossbow for Christmas and were going to give archery season a try in 2021.
I used to work with a guy and if anyone mentioned archery he'd reply "even the indians were smart enough to switch to rifles"...lol

Once she gets hooked on archery she may also ant a long bow or a compound, a very easy sport to get hooked on and what an awesome way to spend time with your daughter.
