Delivery Day for the 2601.......

Big day finally arrived.

When I got the call the tractor was ready I caught on to the fact they kept saying "Box Blade" and I had ordered the RB1560.......rear blade....well honest mistake they had prepped a BB1260......which I probably would have gotten in the Spring anyways. So.....just keep that on the truck and add the RB.

So 48" commercial blower, FEL, Box blade and Rear Blade.........

Did some quick basic loader work in the rain today then mounted the BB1260 for the first time dealing with a 3PT......I won......leveled it off in the garage out of the rain. Quick hitch comes tomorrow.

Let the journey begin......

Well to be fair the house and garage were built new last year.......and the tractor is only in there for a couple days as I kicked my wife's SUV out......because my car is in the other bay and I couldn't possibly move that because my truck was in the way lol.....see how that works?

And the black carpet is fantastic, have one under each car....saves so much damn salt and grit from my gravel driveway from ruining the cement.......

I love it so far.....all 11 hrs so far

Folding the ROPS.......I couldn't think of anything that could be easier....of course I came 3" from ripping my garage trim off then realized it needed to be folded at least part way down. I was also happy to see they are including that tension knob that the BX used to have to tighten the ROPS in the Up position to keep it from rattling as much. If you can pull two cotter pins and bolts the ROPS learning curve has been mastered !!!!

And the reality is the bucket is dirty now lol......I couldn't help myself but go play in the rain for a few minutes.......

Yesterday, took a partial day off and graded the driveway with the rear blade. Small learning curve with the rear blade. Happy with the results.

Also installed the ROPS lights. This kit was made to be mounted externally on the ROPS so zip ties worked......

It is. Impressive quality and well thought out. The one thing I would caution, if you are envisioning a very clean "hidden wire" type install like people have done on the interwebs then this isn't the kit. It is externally mounted with large zip ties and the lights come pre-wired to the switch and sealed up. All connections are integrated/internal to the lights and switch, I suppose you could open them up but it didn't seem like a wise move.

On to the good stuff.......it is easy peasy to install. I got a 3 light kit, 2 forward 1 rear. Like I said, everything is already interconnected and ready to mount. I did wrap the brackets with some 2" black vinyl tape I had to minimize ROPS scratching and for them to grip a bit better than metal on metal. Mounted them, ran the wires and zipped them up......connected to the work light connection and BOOM light. The switch box on the 3 light has a switch for the 2 forwards and a separate switch for the rear so not "all on/off" The rear light came with a sticker that said.......wait for it.......wait for it........"Rear".....so pretty damn user friendly. Totally a plug and play kit. Those Canadians take their ROPS lights seriously evidently.....

Thanks for the detailed review, you sold me on those. At a minimum I need a rear worklight for running my snowblower at night. That kit isn't much more money than a factory worklight so it's a no brainer.

At I think 5000 lumens these things are pretty damn bright. I did the night test the other day.....plenty bright for blowing snow.....especially with the white of the snow reflecting etc.

It is a pretty good kit.....and really with a spare pile of zip ties you could easily pull it for the summer if you don't need lights. Just wear and tear on the work light connections.......
