I didn't get the third function from the factory, I'm wanting my dealer to install.
(I see a grapple in my future.)
Big job or no?
Thanks in advance.

Pretty simple to do yourself, with basic tools and some sense. There are a few threads showing what to do on B and LX. Not sure about the BX.

Grapples are nice to have.
Can't help you with a third function, as I went the diverter route on my BX2370. Bucket dump and curl hoses became supply to diverter valve, new hoses to curl cylinder. Diverter valve from Surplus Center.

Hardest part was turning a new handle to accept the switch and routing all the electric. Nothing really difficult, worst part was trying to get my head in the right position to see. The bifocals don't always help. Good luck on which ever way to decide to go.

I installed a WR Long third function on my L3910 Sunday evening after church. As old and slow as I am, it still only took a couple of hours. Quite a bit of that time was spent looking for tools! It's a very simple job. The instructions were very easy to understand.

Paul I did a 3rd function on my BX2350. Yours may be similar. It is not a big job, i wouldn't hesitate to DIY to save the money and hassle. I wired the electric to the fuse box so it wasn't hot all the time easy. Very simple, I got a little tripped up on hydraulics because i know nothing about them but the forum helped me through.

third function on a bx is a pain in the butt

ideally you will have some way to lift the tractor up off the ground cause you will be under it

have to take the belly deck off

did 2 while I worked at the dealer, hated both of them Not much room to work and instructions suck

both were land pride

did a few long's on L01's and they weren't any better or worse

yes you have to remove mower deck but sliding under the machine isn’t a big deal. If you lift off the foot deck (floor) makes access a cinch. It only takes a few minutes to remove it. I did not have space for my wrenches without doing so.

Removing the floor plate makes a HUGE difference on a BX. 3rd function installs on BX, B, L, and Ms are all very simple and easy operations.

Whitetiger, I bought the Kubota 3rd function for my L4240. Took it home, opened the box, looked at the instructions and called Roman's (where I bought it) to have them install it. Didn't look like a very easy afternoon project without a lot of time, tools, room and fluids! Glad I had them do the install.

They are not as bad as some look to be and usually, the instructions just make it worse until the picture in your mind comes together. An L**40 series is about the most cantankerous to install.
I will say the current production units are simpler than some of the previous models.

How does the WR Long unit compare to the Kubota "factory" unit in functionality? I was on the WR Long website and the description may as well have been in Chinese. I am considering purchasing a used B2650 with the WR Long third function valve installed. Don't know what to think. Thanks.

I self installed the Summit kit on my B2650. It's easily broken down into 3 different sections of the install: Cutting into the Power Beyond circuit and plumbing it to your valve. Plumbing the valve outputs to the front of your loader. Electrical: deciding how/where to hook the power up to supply/control the electric valve solenoids and control handle. Once you break the parts down to each of those sections it becomes less "smoke and mirrors" and a lot easier than first imagined. Plus, you get to learn the hydraulic circuits of your tractor at the same time which is always a good thing!!
