Back Blade?

Hello,
I am buying a 2020 Grand L6060 with backhoe and loader, fork, and back blade (dealer said 2-3 weeks). This is my first and hopefully last tractor so I have followed the buy once cry once philosophy and tried to out fit it the way I want it.
Trying to decide on back blade length and type. I am leaning towards Land Pride RBT 3584 w/ hydraulic angle.
The dealer said a LP RB 2684 is fine. I intend to use for snow removal and grading land as I clear areas on my 23 acres of forest. ANy thoughts on best back blade to buy. Also , is a back blade really worth it given I have the front loader? What do folks use a back blade for other than snow removal and grading?

Lastly anything to be aware of or look for when picking it up from the dealer?

I did research trying to find a back blade for my GL. 7’ was minimum to cover tracks when angled. Go with the heaviest you can find. I too, have one set of rear remotes so was looking for hydraulic angle. I didn’t have the coin to buy it yet so still looking. I liked the Woods .60 series, Rhino 850 was the heaviest 7’ if I remember right. I liked the Land Pride RBT3584. I agree with you the 26’s are to light. You have considerably more power but your weight isn’t a whole lot more than my 4060. You might be able to handle a 8’ hopefully other GL6060 owners will chime in.

You may also wish to investigate a box blade though I don't know how wide they go.

Going with 2 or more rear remotes? The 3584 also has a swing function to push snow past the tractor tire. Angling 3pt hitch can also cut ditches with rear blade

If you live in snow belt or snow areas what are you doing about the front? I ordered a HLA 1800 84” snow pusher due in early November. Since I’m mostly plowing residential paved and asphalt drives I opted for rubber edge on box and steel on back drag. I really had hoped for a back blade so I could back in drives and pull snow out about 25’ - back up and finish with the pusher. Changing directions takes time. Gonna use a ballast box this year and get back blade next if I hear good things on OTT.

I don't need it for snow, but with a little practice you can cut a pretty swale or v-ditch by tilting and angling it. Don't know about snow, but for dirt work weight and strength are king.

Going with one remote for now for angle only. First remote is 990$, 2nd and 3rd are 690 ea. I may add these myself later.

There is no way that a 7 footer at full angle will cover your tracks with only a 60" cut. A 7 foot blade only cuts a 66" wide path at 35* angle.

Either the RBT 3596 or RBT4096 would be the units I would be considering. Also I have found that having skid shoes pretty much eliminates any gouging with the corners on the blade.

If you will be using your 3pt very much, I highly recommend that you get all 3 rear remotes as well as a top & tilt set. These options simply make life on the tractor better than good.

Get a rake with drop blade. You will use the rake all the time through the year. You will use the blade for snow removal a few times a year. Rake blade combo tend to be the heaviest.

x10 on the power angle. I also have to give a x10 on the top and tilt. Huge game changer if you are a good operator.

My land pride blade has manual angle, hydraulic swing. clears 1/2 drive on way down, other half on drive back up.
