I have a 1992 model B 2150HS with loader LA 350 and the detent float position doesn't work anymore. How can it be repaired?

How do you mean "doesn't work"? Won't go into the detent position, won't stay in the detent position, or doesn't float when in the detent position?

Neighbor has a B2150 (not sure which loader) that had the same problem. All the detent parts (balls & springs) had rusted away. They are all in a cap at the end of the spool. All of the parts were still available thru the dealer, so he ordered them, we cleaned everything up, and the two of us reassembled it. (kind of a PITA, multiple springs & small steel balls) Works perfectly now. Pic is of my B219 FEL spool valve, very similar to his. Arrow points to the cap with the detent stuff. 2nd pic (B219 valve again) shows detent parts.

Thank you Lil Foot, for the information on the problem with the loader detent of my B 2150HS. Bucket will go in float position when i hold up the joy stick, but it won't stay in detent by itself. I will check it out as you indicated and hope to get it repaired, Thanks again.

No problem, my B7100 has the same problem. Difference is that I can't get parts for mine anymore, so I will have to fabricate a new detent setup for mine if I ever get the time.
If I need float, I just hold the lever forward.
To keep from going into float when I don't need it, I machined a clip that blocks the spool from going forward into float, and easily unclips when I need to remove it.

Neat trick.

What's going on with that vertical rod in the background? Is that connected to the parking brake rod at the bottom?

Did you ever do this repair?

I have the same problem and wonder how it went (and if you have any tips / warnings to share).

Thanks.

Mr Z , no I didn't repair the problem with the loader not going into float position because I wasn't sure I could do the repair as another person discribed that it was a problem getting all the new parts which was steel balls and springs back together. I may try to come up with a mechanical locking mechanism so when I push the lever into float position it will stay, until I pull the lever back .

Does anyone have a link to get a rebuild kit for the b219 valve kit. My dealer says they are obsolete and they can’t get them
