Stay safe my friend, hope you come through without any damage. Here we go again, waiting to see where this hurricane goes now.
We luckily got ours in here (Alabama) on Thursday before the storms. Ended up with about 4.25 inches of rain and now 80 outside today. Should have some great plots this year!I am hoping that we can get our food plots planted next week after we dry out a bit.
I subsoiled 1 plot that was hard packed clay, interested to see how it does this year. I will probably do the others next year.I subsoiled most of my plots two weeks ago so a good portion of our rain went into the ground. Hopefully I can disc by this weekend and if not, next week.
I bought my subsoiler a couple months ago but only had time with the camp build to do the 1 plot that really needed it. I did run my discs over it before the storm and it chopped really well. Most of the rain water would just run off of it and never soak in very deep so that should help.View attachment 49372
I subsoil every plot every year.

One pass with the disc and it's ready to plant
Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it is just a bad sprain and you will be back going in a few days.I may be out of commission for a bit. Loaded my tractor on the trailer to go do some work for my brother inlaw at his camp. I hopped off the side of the trailer and landed on the edge of a 2x8 and hurt my foot. I will have it x-rayed this week to see if I possibly broke a bone or something. Getting around on crutches at the moment.
Thanks for the well wishes, it is feeling a bit better this morning.Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it is just a bad sprain and you will be back going in a few days.
