fuel starvation

BX2370 acts fuel starved. Been back to the dealer 7 times. Gas tank cleaned. fuel filters replaced, fuel line replaced. lift pump and injector pump replaced. Runs for about 20 minutes then fuel starvation begins. Tractor has only 260 hours. Air filter also replaced.

With all that replacement, have you checked the fuel cap? run her again with it off or loosened.

With the low hours your tractor and the work done to date on the fuel system, i am inclined to suggest a different but similar cause for the fuel starvation.

From my look at the WSM, your engine is stopped by power being applied to the engine stop solenoid for a brief but long enough time for the engine to stop.

My suggested field test : When the engine is running, disconnect the one wire going to the engine stop solenoid and then continue to run the tractor to see if the fuel starvation symptoms return.

Study the attached page. Try the simple test I suggest. If the engine operates reliably during the test, then you are a new focus for the problem.

You will have to re-connect the engine stop solenoid to stop the tractor.

Remember when doing this test, safety systems are being negated so be extra cautious.

do a fuel flow test. Remove fuel line from the injection pump. Put the end of the line into a jar or something to catch fuel. Turn the key on and watch the fuel flow. Does it come out good at first then slow down? If so (I suspect it does), remove the fuel cap and continue your flow test. Did fuel cap removal make any difference? If so, the fuel tank is not venting. If not, you have a restriction somewhere; could be lines, could be in the tank still, whatever. Maybe a pinched fuel line. If all that is good & clean, look closely at the lift pump; perhaps it's +12v is dropping somehow?
