Greetings all,
I am new to the forum. I own a Kubota L4200 DT Rops without a cab. The ring and pinion in the front differential was replaced recently. I am currently trying to finish the job. However I am having difficulty with installing the Oil seal (Pn 34070-12220) which is number 060 on the Kubota illustrated parts list for the assembly. All surfaces have been clean and lubricated. I have tried using a hammer and socket and pressing in with hydraulic press. I have placed the seal in the freezer over night. The first seal I tried to install with the press went in but part of the outer rubber of the seal tore causing the seal to leak. Is there something I am missing with this installation? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. This question may have been ask and answered in the past but I was unable to find any information on the subject. Thanks for your help!
