What size box blade is good for a B2710? I just built a barn for my tractor and I need to do some grading around it. Is a 60” too large for a 27HP tractor?

I had to hunt to find the width of your tractor. I found 53.8 inches so with the size of the tractor and the hp the 60 inch bb should be fine. I would not go any bigger. I run a 60 bb on my L2501 with no problems.

does weight factor in at all with a box blade? My tractor is only 1800lbs and your L25 is about 2300lbs.

Tractor Data has the tractor rated at 1300 pounds 24 inches behind the lift pins so a 4 - 500 pound bb will not be any problem. Check out Craig's List for a used bb and save yourself some money, maybe.

I have added 200 pounds of steel as weights on my bb to get it to cut better,

I have a B2710 and used I think 60 inch box blade with it okay. I think all are four wheel drive and hydro. I do have all the front weights that will fit. That was mostly for rear mower. No longer have that blade and do my dirt moving with larger tractor normally. If you are reasonable in the amount of dirt you are pulling or the cut you are taking you should be fine. One thing I do like in moving dirt with mine is easy to see around it and lift works very good for working near a building.

I have a 60" box blade on the B7510 (just a newer version of the B2710) and it works fine. I also have a narrower box blade on my other B7510 and it's better for deeper/harder digging but it challenges the tractor in terms of taking a big load in the box without having additional weight on the front of the tractor.

When I bought my B2910, the B7500 was a step smaller. The B2710 and B2910 were the same physical size, just slightly different in horsepower.

I’m just guessing but I don’t think the B7510 is likely the same size as a B2710. I could be wrong though…
