Any ideas on what I should expect to pay a shop for putting new blades on a 60" LanPride brush hog done at their shop?

Thx

Most shops charge an hourly rate plus parts, shop supplies, etc.

Local Kubota dealer charges $110/hr. Not much gets done in one hour.

By the way, they also charge $110/hr for hauling, which includes time driver walks out of dealership door until equipment is unloaded and truck if parked. Each way, of course.

Parts will be the cheaper part of the bill, I’m guessing just under $100 for 2 blades and 2 new bolts. The labor will depend on how easy the job runs, I’ve had a real difficult time with one brush hog and a surprisingly easy time with another, at least your dealer will have the experience and the right tools. Best guess is $250 for both labor and parts, if all went well (1 hour, taxes, shop supplies).

Just watched a Tractor Tim video with a subject matter expert. He said to keep on cutting till you run out of gas, then refill! don't worry about the blade condition......

My $.02.

I recently changed mine after 12 years. Got BH branded blades for my BH 286 that had developed a terrible vibration, $120.00. Bought the bolts $50.00--both of which your have to buy anyway. Saved the $100.00/hr and got a 3/4 impact from HF for $79.00 and did it myself.

Saved $120.00 and now have an impact driver for my bigger jobs.
