I have an OLD B8200 HST with a Yanmar backhoe attached. A malfunction pretty much destroyed the backhoe hydraulic pump shaft and the pto coupler. The pump is a Cross 5Z420. Would greatly appreciate any advice on a replacement for both these items.

Thanks,

Terry

A PTO hydraulic pump is commonly available. Pick a displacement and go. Instead of a shaft, the new pump goes right on the tractor PTO. Use longer hoses.

found this, well Google did,....
Cross Hydraulic Gear Pump

  • SAE "A" 2-bolt flange
  • 5/8" keyed shaft
  • 2 gpm at 1000 rpm
  • LH rotation
  • Side ports
  • 3000 psi rated working pressure

5Z420 CASTING # is on ALL 40 Series Pumps and Motors

last line is the important one.... I'd contact Cross and ask them WHICH pump you have. Pictures and dimensions will help of course. You might look at the parts book for your tractor to see what the Kubota part numbe ris, then use Google to search for it...sooner of later, someone WILL have the real Cross SKU for that pump..unless it was a 'special OEM' unit....

Use PoTreeBoy's advice--- Surplus center is the way to go. If you don't know exactly what size you need, call them. They have good technical support.
