There are two threaded holes in the transmission case behind the breather. Does anyone know what they were intended to be used for?

Backhoe seat?

SDT
Well, sort of...Mine don't do anything at all but fill the threaded hole. They aren't threaded in enough to make contact with the support bracket.

How very Kubota strange! Kinda like the Roll Over Protection Structure that has place to install a threaded knob to reduce rattle, but is not provided with the knob. (You could steal one from a BX because for some reason the BX has them!)

Thank you for the replies, but DirtyDeed, you must be thinking "why the heck is this like it is?".

I have no idea why. I looked to see if the seat brackets were slotted up front (to allow it to slide back and use those two holes for mounting)....nope.

Both my M9's have various threaded holes that aren't used for anything. Could be there for fixturing the part when machining it or could be for a non installed accessory. I never give them a thought myself. They are all there for a reason, what that reason is, is conjecture. Myself, I have way more important stuff to be concerned with.

Thought maybe used on the cab version? Picture of my LX2610. Not used on mine, possibly used on the rest of the world where they sell the tractor without ROP's?

That's what I was thinking. I never noticed them on my BX. Now I have to go look for them. If htey are there, I'm sure they will be filled up by either mud daubers or mason bees. Aroound here, those critters plug every hole they can find.
