Hello all, I'm a new Kubota BX2380 owner (only have tractor with 60" mower deck, waiting on back ordered loader).
For the time being, I am parking it in my garage and need to lower the ROPS to clear. Ever since I took delivery I had to beat one pin out/in with mallet. After 2.6hr of use, it wouldn't start so dealer came out to pick it up yesterday, fixed it (loose wiring at starter) and delivered it this morning. I asked them to fix a few other issues (1 spring was not attached to bottom of seat) and the pin in the ROPS bar was so tight one one side (fine on the other) that I had to beat with mallet to put it in and pull it out. Now, i can't get the one pin in at all with the ROPS up. I called dealer and waiting on call back - he said they looked at it yesterday (i think they adjusted it so it fits when down, not up as it was delivered this morning with the ROPS lowered) . In the mean time, does anyone know of any tricks to see if I can adjust this myself instead?
it looks like there's one bolt per side where two ROPS pieces connect (both are slightly lose where i can spin them a tad). Also looks like there's 2 bolts behind seat where lower bar attaches.
With ROPS up, the one side, looking toward seat, I can see the lower hole is too high for the upper hole and i can't seem to get the upper bar low enough to get pin to fit (mallet trick won't work as the gap between the two is to great). So it seems either I need to lower the upper section or raise the lower section, but only on the one side.
Thanks!
