Greetings all,
I need a little direction here. The below email was my attempt to replace the attached picture item; Messick's confirmed that the part numbers shown within were the correct items and I ordered same. However, the plug is NOT vented and does NOT have the rubber tube extension. Did Kubota engineering make a design change or was I inadvertently mislead? If the vented plug and tube extension is appropriate, what would be the correct part number. Thank you for the assist, Montana Rick

Hello, I am trying to replace the attached picture item. Note that this has a breather vent hole and rubber extended tube?

Is your #38240-21410 & 04817-5030 an acceptable substitute or do I need a different part number selection?

Thank you and we appreciate your site and online videos, Rick

Is that the fill cap that sits in front of the seat?

If this is the right one from the l2550DT parts manual (see pic item no 70) the original p/n is 38430-21410. If you chase that p/n through Messick's site, after supersessions it eventually get to p/n H3270-21410. Can't tell if its vented or not by picture BY CLICKING HERE.

Hi guys, thank you for the research and link to the CORRECT part number. Don't know why Messick's gave me the wrong part, especially when I enclosed a picture of the original plug...Oh well, glad it wasn't that expensive. You Da Best!
