options when building tractor and labor fees

how many of yall that order new tractor have to pay labor fees for add on equipment? for instance front loader , backhoe or 3rd function. just want to see what most say . one member said they want 500 $ in labor to install 3rd function. fire away..

Depends upon the dealer.

Order a new one from Kubota rather than one from dealer stock or (especially) one in stock at another dealer to avoid such nonsense.

I'm trying to buy a new machine now. Spoke with a dealer today who told me $1,200 dealer prep and $600 shipping. That's not shipping to me, that's apparently the shipping they paid. The $1,200 is just prep, not for any 'add-on'. I asked how a new tractor WITHOUT a loader or backhoe could be possibly $1,200 to set-up.

When I bought my bx23s they had to order the manual thumb, mower and cutting blade and I put that stuff on myself.. but they installed the canopy for no change..

I think some dealers are just probing to see what they can get away with.. tell them you are going to call another dealer and check prices, or do that and if it's less ask if they price match and send them a picture of the other dealers price without the name.in the picture..

I'm dealing with my own iffy dealer b.s at the moment seems like crazy is the new normal?

I've been trying to buy a bx23s with 3rd function and snowblower and not only do dealers want to charge me more than list, they act they are doing me a favor- no one wants to write it up and quote what's included specifically. And there are plenty of little add-ons to add extra or send the machine stripped. You don't even know if the price they give you is before or after incentives. So frustrated--Almost ready to just give up and find another brand.

If they treat you like this when buying, how good is their service? I would find another dealer regardless the brand.
