Where would you source some bent exhaust pipe?
I wanted to redirect the exhaust on a repower. Its small like about 1-1/4” or so. I asked at a shop that does automotive systems and they told me they dont have the pipe or dies to go that small.
I was hoping to find elbows and straight and just weld them on but cant seem to find much.

Depending on the specific size it may be about the same as EMT electrical conduit. Many electric shops have hydraulic conduit benders. If you can tell them how many degrees to bend it you may get what you want.

Thanks for the lead DirtyDog. I’ll check that out.
And Roadworthy, yes I did think of that as emt is tubing same as exhaust pipe is, but I would rather get an elbow with a formed bell to go over this muffler pipe. I think itd make a stronger weld that way than butting them up and welding. But yes its an option. Thank you!

Looking at Dirtydeed's (the Amazon page)answer made me think about all the generators on the RVs. Maybe the Rv dealers have or make what you need because I am sure that the exhaust on the generators are not off the shelf items.

Electrical conduit is a good idea.
Just checked Lowes site and they have 1"1/4" + 1'1/2" conduit for $17.00-$20.00 for 10 feet.

Different things such as pipe, PVC, are measured differently. Make sure that the 1 1/4 " are measuring the same either the inside or the out side diameter.

If you end up using electrical conduit its probably galvanized so be careful when welding that, fumes not good

On my 2301 I used EMT 1 1/4 in. 90 degree and cut off what was'nt needed to get the angle I wanted. It slipped right on and the bends in both pieces made it wedge on, banged it with a rubber hammer and has'nt budged since. No clamp needed!

Lots of excellent suggestions. Much appreciated!
200mph that site you linked sure has some nice looking pipe and the prices seem ok too. I was going to stop by the elec shop I get supplies from and measure some EMT before ordering anything though. Hopefully that works out fine as itd be easiest all around.

ONE exhaust “shop” is not the all-answer-to-all. Find another shop.

I live waay out (been practicing social-distancing for years.... I live in the country!)... Anyway, I wanted to extend the length of a contractor-rack on my pickup and went to an exhaust shop out in the county. He told me it’s an unusual size for exhaust systems, likely metric, but he put a caliper on it, and ordered tubing. Three days later it was cut, jigged, and welded onto my rack. He used 3-feet of the 20’ tube he had to buy as a minimum and have shipped-in... Cut two 1-1/2’ sections, cut my rack to separate it and spliced the two sections into it. He spent an hour just making a jig to assure alignment. The result looks original. Charged a total of $100. :p

Find another shop. Maybe one that’s hungrier.
