I have a new BX260 with the LA344S swift tach loader. I couldn't figure out why I was having issues with getting the loader stand back up. Today I took a closer look. Apparently, I'm missing some bolts that are on the bucket itself that push on the loader stand when you curl it.

Can someone snap me a picture of that setup? Can anyone tell me what bolt size it is? I'm assuming I'll need a lock nut too. I can see the nut welded to the bucket. So I'm assuming that's what I need is a bolt.

Thanks

If you bought a new tractor with a new loader the dealer should provide the missing bolts and might even be willing to demonstrate how to remove the loader.

Dealer is 260 miles away. I've figured out how to take it off. That's not a problem.

You got to really want a Kubota to go that far to get one! I don’t remember the last time I drove 260 miles. Maybe once every 5 years.

If you go to Messick's web page you can find the parts diagram. There is a video on the web page that states the LA340 and the LA344 arre the same. Maybe there is one, LA340, near you to look at.

Yeah, I couldn't find the detailed parts diagram. Only the "most common parts" section. I found the manual on KubotaBooks.com, but that only showed the bolt. No part number.

I'd really like to just go to my neighborhood hardware store and pick up a few bolts once I know the size. One of my neighbors has the same tractor as me. But he's a bit anal to the Corona virus lockdown. So I won't even go over there until this is done. 6 foot distancing isn't enough for him. Worst case I'll just have to wait for that. Or I might shoot my dealer an email...

Go to the Kubota.com site and use the parts lookup to see what you need. You will be able to get part numbers but not sizes. At least you'll be able to see what your missing.

The diagrams are there and I agree with you it is hard to find but worth the effort.

I do not know your tractor but have looked at the parts diagram.

My best guess is that you are looking for the two bolts identified #120 and corresponding nuts.

With any Kubota parts info you never get actual bolt sizes only part numbers.

From the photo, the bolt head looks larger than normal so for the price ordering the right bolts might be the best solution.

From the photo the nut appears to have a dimple on its face so it too may be a deformed nut to keep it tight.

Thanks for that. I emailed my dealer. If he doesn't step up, at least I know what to order.

From that picture, I think its a M12 x 30mm 1.0 pitch. Get one at your local hardware store and see if it fits!

Quick update, my dealer is supposed to be sending the the proper bolts/nuts after I emailed a quick picture. Still waiting though. I'm guessing he ordered them from Kubota, which means delayed shipping with COVID I'm sure.
