New to the forum and new to this tractor.
It doesn't belong to me, just trying to help a farmer buddy out.

Only backstory I have is he bought it new in early 2000's.

He was backfilling a trench and all of a sudden, he had no hydraulics.
The bucket or the 3 point hitch will not do anything.
No sound, no nothing.

Mechanical transmission on this unit.

I brought it to my home where I have tools and whatever else I may need.

Tractordata says it has an open center, gear pump system, which I am pretty familiar with.

I have not even located the hydraulic pump on this machine yet, because of dodging rain showers.

Can someone give me insight on what might be wrong with this machine, or where the pump is located?

Thanks.

The pump is on the right side of the engine, just behind the fuel Injection pump.

It will be the part with the hydraulic lines connected to it, not the fuel lines. ;)

Thanks for the info.
I found the pump at least.

Why would all hydraulics just quit like that?
Engine and everything else is working fine.

I just ran the engine for a few minutes and one line off the hydraulic pump goes to a spin-on filter.

Both the line and the filter were slightly warm after a few minutes of idling.

The filter is the same color as the rest of the undercarriage, which makes me think it has never been changed.

Well that's not a very smart thing to do, the line with the filter is the suction line, running a pump without fluid is a sure way to scar it up.

Them being warm was just a coincidence, as your not pulling anything through them or the pump.

Remove the pump and check the tang on the pump drive.

Yea not having changed the filter could have caused excesive wear, but didn't cause it to fail abruptly.

How is the fluid level?

How is the fluid condition?

I guess I wasn't clear. I did not remove any lines or anything else.
Just traced them down with my fingers.
Just noticed the one line getting slightly warm.

BTW, does the power steering run off this pump too?
The power steering is working just fine.
