Help, i'm lost. Just signed up and clicking the reply (here) is the only way i see to post something right now. I have searched for 2 days with no luck, as to what the petcock is for on my G4200 Kubota Z430 2 cyl. diesel. (Not HST) It's the flat T metal thumb-screw right next to the oil dip-stick. The only thing that was there was some whitish powder on the end it when i unscrewed it all the way out. I clicked upload pic, I don't know if it attached or not though. I don't see it.

It sounds as if you are describing the engine coolant drain. This is KNOWN for becoming plugged up with white powdery residue from old antifreeze. You are VERY lucky that it did not snap off when you unscrewed it.

You may need to CAREFULLY use a small drill-bit IN YOUR HAND to gently pierce thru the crud. Be prepared with a drain pan to capture the coolant which will come out of the engine. Then, use a round wire brush (as used for cleaning firearms) and spin it in that hole to finish the job.
