Well after 3 days of wind from light to 50 mph gusts or more,, I walked around outside looking at the branches I have to gather,, I walked around the back of the old barn,,,,, SHYYYYYYT the top of a big pine is on and through the roof,, not that the roof was in super shape any ways but still.. I figure part of the roof is going to come away with the tree.. somedays the fun just never stops

Oh skeets, sorry to hear that. Don't even think of getting up there by yourself to get it off. Seems like that would be something insurance would be good for?

Windy here too. The horse trailer blew five feet down the driveway. It stopped when it hit the grass. This is a three stall unit with a tack room up front.

Is it my imagination or have the local TV weather people run out of normal things to talk about? Every night it's either amazing gusts, temperature drops, wind chill index or some oddball weather in the mountains where no one lives except bears. I still have to check the NWS website for the forecast because the local TV guys seem to feel obligated to make up their own crazy forecasts. I blame this all on the Weather Channel which went from sensible reporting to where now it's weather reality TV.

We have a confirmed 100mph "super cell" tornado with large hail just South of us right now. We are out of the direct line, but some folks are in trouble.

Unfortunately about 20 miles South of me one death and several homes were destroyed as this tornado moved through. The danger will exist as the storm moves through Eastern Mississippi and then into Northern Alabama.

We got about an inch of rail beginning about 11AM. The wind picked up and has been blowing hard since. Here's what the weather woman said to expect.

"Could be a bumpy evening across northeast Kansas and western Missouri, including the Kansas City metro. Thunderstorms will likely roll in after 8 PM. Frequent lightning Isolated wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to quarter size are possible."

We're suppose to get tornadoes not hurricanes! Don't know which one is worse.

This deadly storm has now claimed 6 lives in Mississippi. This is in the area where I had the sawmill yesterday.

Seen that on the news yesterday, as if people weren't going through enough. Sorry to hear about your roof skeets, hopefully the insurance company will treat you good.

I came home from my vacation home last night about a quarter to 8, went into the bathroom to pee and watched a funnel drop down across the highway from me. I don't think it ever touched down but out here it's hard to see anything because of the trees. Storm chasers call this state the jungle; they can't see tornadoes for all the trees--and it fits. Aside from the funnel, it did get windy for a while but it was only maybe 40-45 mph at the most. Few limbs laying around but no major damage; thankfully. Those folks in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia got hit pretty hard-my thoughts go out to them. I've been through 4 and ain't none of them no fun.

About 5:30 pm Sunday we got the straight line winds. Big trees down everywhere. I got lucky just some small limbs down here at the house and the farm. I had a couple of trees about 40-50 ft tall blow over in the woods. I didn't lose electricity in town but the electric co-op that serves our county and a few others had over 30000 meters out of service. One death from a tree falling on a guy standing in his drive watching the trees swaying
Our Daughter lives in Longview and she had a rather large tree uprooted and fell on her portable building she has set up as a nail salon. She was out of business anyway from the virus shutdown so maybe she can get her insurance rolling and be set up by whenever she can reopen

Lots of trees down here in east TN. Local news reported 100 MPH gusts up in the highest elevations. Crazy...
