Need to prime hydro pump?

Kubota 3430 (sold), BX2200, Loader(s). box scrapper, tillage equip., post drill.

I finally completed the reassembly of my BX2200 after transmission overhaul. I have filled it with correct hydro oil. Does the trans/pump need to be primed? Will it self prime if I turn engine over without fuel? Or, am I overthinking this and should just fire it up?

If you turn the engine over without fuel you'll have to them bleed the fuel system.

Fire it up as normal and push the forward and reverse pedal several times and it will self prime. ;)
