Anyone have a 60 inch mid mount mower deck for a B2601 they can take a few measurments off of?

My dealer, nor Kubota Canada can answer my question. I want to know if the RCK60-29 from my 2013 B2620 will fit on a B2601.
I know the deck model number and part number are different, and that they have changed the design of the anti-scalp wheels and how they adjust.
But to me, I don't see any major changes to the B2601 mechanically over the B2620.

The big "technical" answer I got from Kubota was "the RCK60-32 is compatible with the B2601 and the RCK60-29 is compatible with the B2620."

Thanks.

Mmm. My deck is about 200’ away from my recliner right now, but it sure looks like it’ll fit. The only thing different on mine is I’ve got rollers on the rear of the deck....but that’s of no consequence. I can measure in the am and check if anybody answered yet.:)

OK, thanks Tire Biter. I just haven't made the 2 hour trip to my dealer to measure one myself because it's still snowing and crappy here.

I wasn't in the market to replace my B2620 but I kinda want a backhoe now so I figured if my deck would fit, I'd trade my tractor in on a B2601.
The tractor holds good resale value, but I don't really gain anything by giving the deck with it. And it's still in perfect shape, so I would keep it and save the cost of a new one.

I am kinda disappointed in Kubota now though. I can see the guy answering the phone at corporate not knowing, but is it really that hard he couldn't send an email to someone in engineering that would know?
Well I guess they just want to sell the whole package. They don't want you to "save" a couple bucks.

I agree one would hope Kubota would be more helpful.

What do you plan to do with your B2620? If selling it wouldn't most buyers want the deck with it?

Well I never thought of selling it at this point. In that case most probably would want the deck. But on trade in I would gain nothing for it. My dealer gives decent trade on the tractor but implements are basically worthless to them.

At this point if I could update without having to spend a lot I would, otherwise I don't care because I am very happy with my B2620.
And I am starting to really enjoy using antique tractors for my bigger ground engaging work.

Interesting that a dealer feels he can get as much for a used tractor itself, as for one with an expensive factory mower deck? That being the case it makes sense to trade w/o the deck, you either sell your old deck, or if possible swap it to your new machine.

I'm at 7 years now, but I know my dealer told me in 5 years the tractor basically loses only what I paid on sales tax, but loader and implements lose 50%.

Other dealers may vary but that's at least what this one does.

or not buy a deck for the B2601 and keep B2620 as dedicated mower. :D

I've seen new looking decks on FB for B2601 as low as $1000.00/$1500.00 more common if thinking of buying later used.

If i was rich I would, because I love my 2620. But if I got another new one I would have to get some trade money for it because I don't want to finance.

Why not just buy a backhoe for the 2620 if that is the only reason you are buying a new tractor.

I have thought about it. But there are other things I have thought about. I like having the clutch pedal on my 2620 hydro. It is great for engaging high inertia implements like the wood chipper/shredder. But then I would prefer to have the left side steering brakes of the B2601.
2601 has true position control, mine is quarter inching.
2601 has built in rear remotes. Mine are clamped to ROPS bar.
I would also like to have ss quick attach on the loader. Right now I am using clamp on bucket forks which are hard to see for precision work.

Just little stuff like that had me thinking. None of that makes me dislike the B2620....I just have to adapt to do some stuff that could be done a bit easier.

Might not wanna buy anything now. Canadian dollar is down to 69 cents because of the low oil prices and this corona fear mongering stupidness.

Hey thanks a lot Steve! You are way more helpful than Kubota Canada.

I really appreciate you taking the time to measure.

I’m new to the forum but if you do end up trading your b2620 I’d be very interested to find out if your mower deck fits the b2601. I own a b2601 and have not been able to find a used deck for it yet. I have found several of the decks for the b2620 used so it would be great if it fit.

It’s a question my dealer here in Virginia also can’t answer.

Comparing parts diagrams for linkage at Messicks the only difference I see is diagram A20600 and A20900 being different. The arm is same /some small part may be different.

Well, I won't be buying anything for a while now. With all this corona bs going on, oil has plummeted thus making the Canadian dollar even more worthless. And I'm just not into losing money. So I'll wait until the economy bounces back when things get back to normal.
Not going to "give" away 10 grand or so just for exchange.
