This and it's all in one machine with multiple attachments vs having a fleet of different machines and a place to store them all including the additional maintenance of each machine.
I understand the storage and maintenance issues that you may have with a fleet of equipment, but maybe in your current situation 1 piece of equipment just is not up to the tasks that you need from it. Maybe if you bump up to 2 pieces of equipment being a B series (if that fits your loader and backhoe needs) and a zero turn mower you wouldn't be increasing to a fleet and have better luck getting all your chores done.

It appears that a lot of the Kubota range can have a bagger attachment for it. Then you can have it attached permanently and the space a zero turn takes up is only slightly more than a backhoe that is being stored or a bagger attachment for a B/BX series.

The added maintenance cannot be avoided if you get a zero turn but it may turn out to be the same or close to the same time commitment as the single bx because you are splitting the time between the machines.

I mulch and don't get grass clippings inside. But it's easy enough to check - basically you just take your bagger off your BX, put the side discharge on, and then as you mow you discharge to the centre so you mow over the windrow again on each round.

If you do that and the result is good enough for you, then it will be with a bigger B as well. If you don't, then you need a bagger.

I don't have any special mulch kit, I just don't bag the grass. So long as the grass doesn't get too long between mows, it's fine. And when I don't have to bag I'm happy to mow much more frequently.

If I needed a bagger for a lawn I would be getting a Zero Turn or a riding mower hands down. Too much of a pain to swap that on/off twice a week for a tractor IMO. If you arent swapping it on/off then it means you arent using the tractor for much else anyway and should just have the mower.

I like to think of the BX front loader as a supplement for me lifting stuff with my bad back. It is great for small things I dont want to pick up myself. A grapple would be great. For big stuff it is about as worthless as I am.

Depends what you consider big. More than 15kg is more than I want to lift by hand, and the BX will lift up to about 200kg or more on the FEL. I don't have that many things more than 200kg that I want to lift.

My mower always stays on my BX, and I mow 1-2 times a week. But it also pulls the boat, runs my chipper, moves my mulch, moves around dirt and fill. If I had a grapple it'd move sticks and tree trimmings too. It's not an 80 hp tractor, but it sure beats a wheelbarrow and a shovel.
