BX25 BH Control Valve Hose Tightening

Sup All! I am the proud new owner of a BX25. I have all of 4-5 hours on it and I see a hydralic leak . The posistioning of the flare nuts on the BH control valve is so close together it is nuts. I went searching for the right tool, I think I found it but I seek re-assurance, tell me YES, that is what I need please, see below. OR please tell me what is a better tool!

Here is a couple of pictures of the work area with the arrows pointing at the leaker.

They are all suspect now and I want to tighten them all up. It is insanely tight. I need to buy the right tool one time. Can anyone hands down tell me if THIS SET will do me or do I need to buy a dedicated Wrench, SNAP ON, Crowfoot, Flare Nut, 11/16", 12-Pointer . Snap On wants almost 32 bucks for one lil wrench, I found THIS set at sears for 80 bux.

You can buy that set and it will work for you. I just cut a section out of the box end of a 17mm stubby wrench, wide enough so it will slip over the tube and use that to tighten those fittings! I've found other uses for the wrench too so I'm glad I made it! those are ridiculously tight to work on aren't they?

4-5 hours on a brand new BX25 I think I would call the dealer and have them fix it. Once you "fix" it if it isn't done right and some other problems come up it may not covered on the warranty. If they will allow you to watch do so then after the warranty period if it happenes again you will know how and what you need to fix it again.

I suppose that is true alright but he just wants to tighten a fitting! I'd be happy if my customers done it themselves but I would understand if they thought I should do it too!

My only experance came from devloping a leak on my loader valve on my BX24 after the 4th time the dealer said that there was a TSB on that and had to change all 4 loader tubes. And had I tried to "fix" it the parts and labor would not have been covered or at least that is what I was told. Now don't get me wrong I love getting dirty fixing things. Just would hate to see a guy spend $100 on tools to take care of a problem and then have to spend alot more to get something taken care of that would have been under warranty.

They are SAE or American and NOT Metric! The Hose ends are American! Go figure. I thought I was going ot be able to carry Metric only fo rthe BX25 but NOPE! Gotta have BOTH! DARN IT!

I guess I will get that 80 dollar set. I try ot buy Craftsman only but I can not find it made in the Craftsman Flavor at Craftsman dot Com! ERR

I just looked, you are right, it is a 11/16" wrench I modified to tighten that fitting!

Very good... AND, I just saved myself FIFTY BUX! Here is the same set for 28BUX!

I am having the same leaking issue on my bx24 and i was told to replace the aluminum hose because the flaring isn't right from the factory where the o-ring goes and it will fix the problem. My question is how do you just remove the 1 tube without removing the rest that aren't leaking? the same o-ring has failed 3 times. there is not enough room to fish the hose out from around the other hoses and out from under the battery box.

David I did not see this till today. Which hoses is leaking? I found tools to buy to remove one at a time!
